In contrast to the project settings, report settings concern settings for a report with its individual dashboards. In addition, "global" project settings can be overwritten via the report settings.
Below you will find an overview of the various functions of the report settings:
Assignment of rights:
You can add users who have rights to the report's project to your report as report viewers or report editors. To make a user a report editor, he must first be a viewer.
You can also change the owner of the report. First the user must be added as a viewer/editor, then he can be selected in the Owner field.
Tabs:
- Description: Dashboard title
- Drop-down filter menu: a detailed explanation can be found here
- PPTX export configuration: Selection of specific PPTX templates for the report
Background image:
The URL of an image uploaded in the backend under Media can be entered here. This image is then the background image in the report and the associated dashboards.
Stylesheet:
If a CSS style sheet already exists, it can be integrated here for the report.
Cover image:
Here you can change the cover (title) image, which you see by default under "My Reports", in the same way as the background image.
Tags:
You can add tags to your reports and then have the option to search for specific tags under "My Reports". In this way, you can keep a track of many reports.
Header:
In the header you have the option of storing certain CSS formatting, which is then displayed in the header area of the dashboard. For example, logos can be integrated at this point.
Footer:
Similar to the header, you also have the option to format the dashboard footer using CSS.
Custom button:
You can use the custom button to link to other dashboards and reports. A detailed guide to the functions and the implementation can be found here.
Own style sheet:
If you do not have a finished style sheet, you can store your individual CSS formatting here. An overview of some ready-made code structures can be found here.
Settings:
Under the settings you can hide the navigation by default. You also have the option of using preset-filters if certain filters are preset for access profiles. You can also decide whether the dashboard users can change filters or not. Preset time filters, which should not be applied to all dashboards, can be deactivated via "do not save".
Dashboard-Navigation:
By default, the dashboard navigation is stored as tabs.
With many dashboards, however, it can help to improve clarity, if the dashboard navigation is set as a dropdown.
Drag & Drop Behavior:
This function is relevant when creating the dashboard. If charts can be arranged arbitrarily, it makes sense to set the selection on the layout style. If the selection is drag & drop, the charts must always be linked.
